For a young paper like GATE DA, previous-year questions matter even more than usual. With fewer papers to go on, each one carries a lot of signal about how the exam is set — the balance between topics, the style of questions, the depth expected. Solving all of them is the best way to prepare with confidence rather than guesswork.

How to use this resource
Attempt each paper under timed exam conditions before checking any solution — with so few papers available, you want maximum learning from each one, and a real rehearsal so nothing on exam day feels unfamiliar.
Afterwards, study every question closely, not just your mistakes. On a new paper, even the questions you got right tell you where the exam is heading. Map the recurring themes back to the syllabus, revise accordingly, and you will walk in better calibrated than most of the field.
Frequently asked questions
Do these GATE DA papers come with answer keys or solutions?+
The three Drive files are the official question papers, with no answer key, no worked solution and no explanation, and none of them carries the appended official key that some older papers in other branches do. The official key for all 65 questions of each year, and worked solutions to the library questions, are in IAE's study library, one page per year, linked from the year list above.
Why does this set only cover 2024 to 2026?+
Because Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is a recent GATE paper, and these three are the DA question papers this set carries: 2024, 2025 and 2026. There is no earlier DA paper in the download list on this page.
Has the GATE DA syllabus changed for 2027?+
No. Comparing the official GATE 2026 and GATE 2027 syllabus PDFs, Data Science and AI has no listing change at all — it and Electrical Engineering are the two papers IAE Academy teaches that did not change for 2027. That comparison covers 2026 against 2027 only, so it does not establish how the syllabus read when the 2024 and 2025 papers were set; check anything unfamiliar against the 2027 PDF before assuming it still applies. Does the DA paper carry a separate Engineering Mathematics section?+
No. The brochure's pattern table places DA among the papers where General Aptitude carries 15 marks and the remaining 85 marks are the subject component, with no separately stated Engineering Mathematics allocation — unlike CS, EC, EE, IN and BT, where 13 of the 85 marks are Engineering Mathematics (pages 4 and 24).
What marking scheme applies to these papers?+
The 2027 scheme. Every test paper is three hours, 65 questions and 100 marks, of which General Aptitude is 10 questions and 15 marks (brochure, page 4). A wrong 1-mark MCQ deducts 1/3 and a wrong 2-mark MCQ deducts 2/3; MSQ and NAT carry no negative marking; there is no partial marking for any question. /guide/gate-2027-exam-pattern-and-marking covers the question types and marking in full, and /guide/how-the-gate-score-is-calculated covers what happens to your marks afterwards.
