is an skew-symmetric matrix with real-valued entries, and is an -dimensional column vector with real-valued entries such that . The quantity evaluates to ________
(Answer in integer)
ANSWER
for every real , so the answer is 0.

Skew-symmetric means . So every diagonal entry is zero ( gives ), and for .
Let . It is a matrix, i.e. a scalar, and a scalar equals its own transpose, so .
The transpose of a product reverses the order, and :
So , which gives and .
Check by expanding: . The diagonal terms vanish because . Each off-diagonal pair cancels because .
The condition plays no part. The quadratic form of a real skew-symmetric matrix is zero for every real , whatever its length. Hence .
KEY IDEA
A quadratic form is a scalar, so it equals its own transpose . For a skew-symmetric matrix that transpose is the negative of the form, so the form must be zero. Only the symmetric part of any matrix contributes to a quadratic form, and a skew-symmetric matrix has no symmetric part.
WATCH OUT FOR
Treating as important and trying to get an answer from it, for example by guessing 1 (as for the identity matrix) or bringing in eigenvalues. The eigenvalues of a real skew-symmetric matrix are zero or purely imaginary, and none of that is needed here. The unit-length condition is a distractor: the form is zero for every real vector. A second slip is forgetting that reverses the order of the product.
